Dr. Edward Farrior
MEDICAL DIRECTOR
For Dr. Edward Farrior, helping people is a family tradition. Dr. Farrior comes from six generations of surgeons. He proudly continues that legacy by providing his expertise to Tampa plastic surgery patients, whether that is helping erase the scars of abuse or helping preserve their natural beauty. For more than 20 years, Castle Connolly has named Dr. Farrior one of “America’s Top Doctors” for his compassion, experience, and sound judgment.
Dr. Farrior believes the role of a surgeon is to educate as well as operate. This calling to serve and improve lives led Dr. Farrior to improve how plastic surgery is practiced throughout the world. In 2013, Dr. Farrior served as president of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (the world’s largest specialty association for facial plastic surgery). He continues to pass on his considerable knowledge and experience through one of the nation’s most prestigious fellowship programs, sponsored by the AAFPRS.
Most importantly, Dr. Farrior believes in his patients. As an educator and a board-certified plastic surgeon, he provides more than just expert surgery or consultation. He helps his patients truly understand their bodies and how the procedures they consider can affect them. By empowering his patients, Dr. Farrior helps them be a part of their surgical plan. This improves the patient experience by helping sync patient expectations with their results.
Dr. Farrior attended medical school at the University of Virginia and completed his residency at the University of Michigan.
His advanced training in facial plastic surgery was obtained through a fellowship sponsored by the American Academy of Facial and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery with his father, Dr. Richard Farrior. Dual Board Certification through the American Board of Facial and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery confirms advanced knowledge and training in facial plastic surgery.
